Target will have exclusive 40-minute bonus content for Les Misérables on Blu-ray.

Target will also have an exclusive Deluxe Version with 40-minute bonus content, book and 6 postcards housed in a collectible packaging.

Target exclusive 40-minute bonus content will highlight "The Genesis of Les Misérables," the rigors of playing Jean Valjean in "The Transformation of Hugh Jackman," showcase the ensemble cast in "The Young Revolutionaries," dissect what went into making the film in "Anatomy of a Scene: 'Lovely Ladies' & 'Master of the House'" and finally the cast reflects on the musicals enduring themes in "Les Mis Lives On."

Target exclusive collectible book contains 32 pages of the artistry behind the film and includes behind-the-scenes photos, interviews with the cast and crew and insight on how the film was brought from stage to screen.

6 Target exclusive collectible postcards are of each of the main characters shot for Vogue magazine on the set at Pinewood Studios in London. Each card can fit into the front of the collectible packaging for a customizable look with your favorite character from Les Misérables.

I'm always a little suspicious when the studio describes the extra features as merely 'bonus content' - because it's kind of a coin-flip as to whether the content is actually INCLUDED in the product, or if it's some lame code for online stuff. Going to look closely at this one, I don't support releases that aren't physically on the disk.

I'm actually surprised when it's actually included (and not a seperate bonus disk) because that means that they sprung for mastering a different disk than the 'standard' release; the cost for that must fall on the retailer, I suppose.

Are you going to post the exclusives for 'The Hobbit?'

Addendum: Target version is indeed a bonus disk, in DVD format.
